Overview
Supply of 3 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Trucks
Scope
- Chuuk Public Utility Corporation (CPUC) is looking to purchase three new Toyota Tacoma trucks for its Water & Sewer Division in preparation for the Chuuk Water Supply & Sanitation Project.
- The vehicle requirements and specifications are in the attached form. The offered prices shall include freight and quoted CIF, Weno, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. The freight shall be identified separately in the quotation.
- The procurement is being implemented by CPUC (“Purchaser”). The Purchaser invites bids from qualified and experienced suppliers for the specified goods.
- Shopping will be conducted in accordance with CPUC procurement procedure.
- Quotations should be valid for a minimum period of 60 days from the closing date and must be submitted by email to lei.shirai@cpuc.fm on or before 4 PM Chuuk local time, September 30, 2022.
- Please note that CPUC reserves the right to withdraw from this process at any stage and will bear no liability for any expenses incurred in connection with the preparation of the Quotation.
SPECIFICATION:
The required specifications are listed below:
- Engine : 4cylinder, with 2.7 liter cylinder capacity

- Towing Capacity : Minimum 2500 kg and install towing bar and towing ball.

PRICING:
This price shall include all freight and CIF Chuuk, FSM. It shall include customizing trucks with Purchaser’s company logo and vehicle numbers 015, 016 and 017. Company logo will be provided upon request from supplier.

INVOICING and PAYMENT:
(a) The supplier shall submit pro-forma invoice or quotation and technical conformity document of the vehicle(s) to CPUC procurement and supplies inventory officer.
(b) Payment terms.
(c) The following information must be printed on the quotation:
- Purchase Order Number.
- Description, quantity and total.
- The official description of the vehicle use purpose.
- Bank Information; Bank Name, Branch name, Account no., etc.
(d) The supplier will submit the original invoice of the vehicle(s), including the same information described in item (c) as soon as receipt of the payment.
DELIVERY AND RECEIPT CONDITIONS:
The vehicle(s) will be prepared to be readily available upon receipt of the payment for the delivery in CPUC. CPUC will be handling the license plate registration to the related government offices.
Delivery place is the Chuuk Public Utility Corporation in Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia.
The physical examination of the vehicle according to the defined specifications will be carried out by CPUC designated personnel upon receiving the vehicle.
WARRANTY:
The contractor shall clearly identify and state the warranty period. The vendor shall be responsible and liable of providing the necessary compensation in case of any finding defective, faulted or shortages in the vehicle(s) after delivery to the CPUC.
OTHER:
The vehicle license plate and vehicle registration will be handled by the CPUC. Vendor shall provide all necessary documentation for this process.
