THIS IS TO ANNOUNCE THAT CPUC IS SEEKING TO HIRE A Metering Technician. This position will be working Under the Billing Department. A Metering Technician Conduct meter reading, repairs, and makes recommendations to Billing Section.
SALARY: A competitive package will be offered based on education and experience.

Required Qualifications for Position
High school graduate with a diploma
Basic computer skills would be a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Attention to details
Physically fit and able to train to operate the plant
Responsibilities of the Position
Maintain power meters and assist with the improvement of metering system;
Conduct meter inspections on a regular basis and makes recommendations to Billing Section with regards to any improper or illegal connections and other related matters;
Read meters on regular basis and on time
Distribute billings to customers
Coordinate and conduct connection and disconnection tasks;
Respond promptly to customer inquiries;
Perform customer verifications;
Follow up on customer interactions;
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times
Follow safe working practice at all times
Other duties as assigned.
