CPUC in cooperation with Micronesian Red Cross Society organised a charity walk in Weno on Saturday 23rd May.
Governor Johnson Elimo pictured here gave an opening address before setting the walkers off on the 3.5 mile walk.
The walk starting at 7:00 a.m. covered the recently and so far to date paved road route in Weno.
Starting and ending at Andersen field the route went to Downtown, up to Nantaku, around and along to Telecom and finally back to Andersen Field.
A total of US$4,500 was raised from sponsorship and donations the picture below shows CPUC Chairman,Eliseus Akapito handing over a cheque for the proceeds to the Chairman of the MRCS Chuuk Chapter, Mr Myron Hasiguchi
